「フルクローズ・ファスナー式グラウンドシート」にこだわるのでしょうか。

お客様とのコミュニケーションを大切にしているBlack Dragonは、数年前に100名以上のユーザー様が参加する大規模なオーナーミーティングを開催したことがありました。

皆さまが楽しい時間を過ごしている中で、ある小さな出来事が起こりました。

S450をご使用されていたお客様が、Footprint（グラウンドシート）を使用していたにもかかわらず、テント内に虫が入っているのを発見しました。
特に気にせず素手で虫を外へ逃がしましたが、その後、虫に刺されて手が腫れてしまいました。

幸い、数時間後には大きな問題もなく回復されましたが、イベントに参加していたBlack Dragon代表やスタッフたちは、後にこのオーナーミーティングを振り返った際、「最も印象に残っている出来事はこの小さな事件だった」と話していました。

「もっと安全にキャンプを楽しめる環境を作れないだろうか？」

その想いから、イベント終了後すぐに開発が始まったのが、
現在の“ファスナー式フットプリントシステム”でした。

現在では、S450、S480、CloudLink、そしてほとんどのエアテントで、フルクローズ可能なファスナー式フットプリントを装着できるよう設計されています。

もちろん、製造コストや工程はより複雑になりました。
それでも、お客様に少しでも安心・安全なキャンプ体験を提供したいという想いを優先しました。

そして今では、ブランド側だけでなく、実際に使用されているお客様からも高く評価されている、Black Dragonを代表する改善ポイントの一つとなっています。

Why does Black Dragon insist on using
fully enclosed zippered footprints on most of its tents?

At Black Dragon, we deeply value communication with our customers.
A few years ago, we organized a large owner’s camping event with over 100 users joining together.

While everyone was enjoying the event, a small incident happened.

One S450 user noticed an insect crawling inside the tent, even though a footprint (groundsheet) was being used.
Without thinking much about it, the customer picked up the bug by hand and threw it outside.
Unfortunately, the insect bit their hand, causing noticeable swelling.

Thankfully, the swelling disappeared after a few hours and there were no serious issues.
However, when the Black Dragon team later looked back on the event, both the founder and staff members said this “small incident” became the most memorable moment from the gathering.

“How can we create a safer camping environment for our customers?”

That question became the starting point for developing our zippered footprint system.

Since then, S450, S480, CloudLink, and most Black Dragon air tents have been designed to support fully enclosed zippered footprints.

Of course, this increased both production complexity and manufacturing costs.
But we believed that even a small improvement in customer safety and comfort was worth it.

Today, this has become one of Black Dragon’s most appreciated product improvements — valued not only by the brand itself, but also by customers actively using our tents in the field.
